The Order of Digital Knightz

Warhammer is the next big adventure for Mythic Entertainment who is probably best known for development and production of Dark Age of Camelot.

There is a great deal of information on the Warhammer website ( http://www.warhammeronline.com ) so much that i will only touch on it here. The main portion of the game seems to be centered around PVP otherwise called RVR in Mythic games, which stands for Real vs Real. There will be in essence from what i can gather so far, GuildWars style small battles in instances as well as large full scale RVR as seen in Dark Age of Camelot. If Mythic has learned from its past mistakes in DAOC i would venture to say WarHammer will surpass DAOC on longevity, which i played DAOC for 3 years. There are some videos on the site introducing the game, as well as one new actual game footage video. Do not dispair on how the charecture look, i have faith that in the end the charectures will be better then you could imagine. Mythic does a excellent job in texture and details in the game world, as well as with the charectures and their armors. However they also give the players many choices on the look of the game as they play, for those like me on slower systems. I would recommend to anyone to at least watch and apply for Beta in WarHammer. Now that Mythic is owned by EA Games it will be interesting to see what kind of game is formed. Mythic has a great track record in customer service, and if you are like me i prefer a game who cares about me as a customer. I would recommend checking out the site, or even getting their news letter emailed to you.

The game from the way it sounds will have 6 races and 2 sides to chose holding true to the warhammer stratagy game. But it will reside in the first warhammer which was medi-evil. There is little to be said at present about Warhammer 40000 so we do not know if it will be implemented. For the fantasy players this looks like a game that will suredly peek your intrest and be worth the Monthly Fee to play, just as DAOC was.
